REPORT OF THE SEVENTH MEETING OF THE EDITORS OF RESEARCH ON OZONE (MMR) PORTIONS OF THE VIENNA CONVENTION: SENEGAL presented the report of the 7th meeting of MMR and encouraged the space agencies and governments to coordinate their work on satellite data time series in the long term, noting the differences that may occur in the monitoring. The EU expressed its general support for research activities and has requested more time to consider the draft decisions and ensure that any additional details necessary have been integrated. The UNITED STATES OF AMERICA have expressed their surprise about the existence of gaps in satellite data and encouraged the granting of attention to this problem. After the opening ceremony of the 60th Session of Regional Committee of WHO Western Pacific in Hong Kong, Ms Chan said that many countries and regions had started to manufacture influenza vaccine.
After 5-6 months of research following the outbreak of the epidemic, vaccine production is on track, she said, adding that China was the first country to notify WHO of manufacture the vaccine and immunize its population.
